OUR ILLUMINED STAINED GLASS ART PIECE

   The symbolism of our stained glass piece in the sanctuary was received through one of our Board members, Susan Trerice, after the thought was placed on the ethers by the membership for a special symbol for our church. 

   The cross, metaphysically, represents the spiritual truth of God entering the material plane, or Christ Consciousness made manifest on Earth. 

   Behind that goal, to help make it possible, mankind must be clear and open to receive that truth.  One of the tools to prepare for this is the balancing and aligning of the chakras, or energy centers, of the body. 

   Often times, lessons in our lives challenge us to open these energy centers.  Physical ailments in the body at these points show us emotional issues that relate to these chakras that need clearing.  Meditating on the colors that vibrate harmoniously with each chakra, taking in to your being the vibration of each color, helps to remove blockages at each point.  As life lessons unfold to assist this process, the eye of the beholder may find itself drawn to the corresponding chakra color and enhance the wisdom and guidance needed to overcome the blocked energy flow.   

   There is healing in this stained glass piece at many levels: emotional, spiritual and physical.  It is a visual tool to transform each individual to a more finely tuned state of being.  We are honored to have this symbol of spiritual growth, our mission at this church, to share with everyone who visits our sanctuary.
